After reading a lot of threads in the past couple of weeks i decided to drop in a c6 shifter. Picked it up today at the dealer drove back to the shop and installed it. I love the feel, it looks great, and shifts smoother than the old one. Took a little over an hour mainly because I kept going back and fourth to make sure I had everything done correctly. The pictures are terrible I used the shops camera. (only took three I was to excited to stop and take more)

First time installing a manual shifter, Went extremely smooth and would not have been able to do it without the knowledge on this forum. You guys ROCK!

I work at a body shop so I got a 25% discount, was just under $200 for the shifter, ****, and screw.

Default Does anyone know.......

Does anyone know the actual difference (other than the bent shaft and different ****) mechanically between the C5 and C6 shifters? Why is the C6 shifter 'better'? Why does it shift 'better'?
