Good way to drop 21lbs off your front end when your battery goes out:
I used this with my 13:1 compression 355 sbc in my camaro which had no problems what so ever turning that over. Just installed it in the z06 and it is working great. Only 15lbs in weight and easy install. Just had to drill 2 - 5/16 holes in the battery tray and slide the j-hooks through. You can pick up a universal battery holder at most parts stores. I plan to trim the j-hooks so they are not so long. Battery is an Odyssey PC680. Just thought i'd share.
I have installed several Odyssey battery’s in special applications that needed a fast recovery after a severe discharge from running emergency equipment. They have held up very well, and solved a problem we had in our fleet.
Yes you can install them anyway you wish. They are basically a motorcycle battery. Hard to believe they could get the job done but they do and do it well.
I always had trouble connecting the posts to the GM booted wires. What did you guys use to attach? I ran a 925 and the 680 in my Z06 for a while. Currently the 680 is in my drag car and a regular cheap Walmart special is in the Z06.

I remember those cables being somewhat loose even though the bolt was threaded all the way, so I added a washer as well.
