Great thread and great pictures. I always wanted a C3 but bought the C5 so I could drive it daily if I wanted to.
Brings me to a question, I know the different generations are different driving experiences but for those with multiple cars, which one do you find the most fun to drive?

I enjoy my 68 427 the most. Love the torque that the big block delivers. Looking out over the domed big block hood is a great view. The C5 is the best for trips, comfort and fuel efficiency. If you want to be stared at I enjoy my 61. It gets a ridiculous amount of attention on the road. Lots of cell phone pics have been taken of it while driving down the highway. Very primitive as far as handling though. I have owned my 65 for 38 years and find the mid years (63-67) very refined for their time and they really have a timeless style. Love them all really

First of all it's not a fair comparison of automobile technology. Meaning the technology used to develop a generation is reflected in the style, performance and handling of each newer generation. The C5 is by far the most comfortable, economical, and has plenty of power, with control, when you want it. The L-81 was the lowest hp (190) of the C3 generation with the exception of a few of the L-48's, but it still has the visual lines that a classic Vette is know for. It's not and may never be a "collectible" but I don't care. Mine rides and handles extremely well and is nothing short of a blast to drive. It always attracts attention when on the road. I can't remember a time while stopped somewhere that at least one person doesn't come up and want to look and ask questions. If I'm going it's the C5. If I'm showing it's the C3. But really I love 'em both. Just pick what kind of FUN you want to enjoy on that day. Hope that helps.
How could someone not like the red 80 of Nd4spd2's. That is just rolling beauty to me.
1996 Vert and 2000 Vert. If I had a 3 car garage their would be a C6Z06 in it.
Wife told me that if I buy another one that the seat better recline all the way back, when I asked her why, she said because I would be sleeping in it.
Thanks, I really like the way they look on there too. When I did my widebody on my 08 the stock wheels/tires were just sitting out in the storage shed so it worked out great.
