when driving, especially above about 25mph, I hear an odd plasticy sound that I do not think used to be there. I hit a raccoon, and started noticing the sound after that. All wheels feel on there tight, and no shake (such as a bad bearing).
First thought was air dam. Upon checking it, I noticed that it was missing some of the plugs that attach it, and then attach with a spring in the back. I used a nut and screw to secure it down, to see if it changed the sound. it did not. I still think air dam might be the culprit, any ideas. It sounds similar to a fan rubbign on a fan shroud, very plastic in sound.
lol, I killed him too, right in the middle of the Eureka springs poker run. Didn't notice the noise tell I got home and was in the car myself. I asked my wife if she heard it (she drove it home to Kansas, I was in the 74) and she did not. But she also had the radio up.
I had a piece that has had a hole in it since I bought the car. I also had a piece that I noticed had a big crack post raccoon. It was the small piece on the lower part of the inner fender well, I took it off, and no change in sound.
