Headlight problems on 01 Z06
I have experienced the grinding sound with my driver side headlight and repaired the gear, but now I am experiencing new problems with the same headlight. When i turn off the headlights, the passenger side light goes down with no problem, but the driver side will go up and down 3 times and then stop midway. If i put my hand on the headlight it will stay down, but I am looking to see if there is an easy fix without taking to the stealership. Anybody familiar with this? Thanks for the help.

check the white tabs on the head light stoppers (they look like plastic rectangle caps). If you've removed one or if it came off this can cause the headlight to pop back up and then hyper extend through the normal cycle causing it to "pop" back up about a half inch.
