I am not a Corvette owner but I love them. I think they are a amazing vehicle and I love going out with my dad in his 50th anniversary Vette with 3100 miles. I am however a professional paint protection film installer and I am giving you my personal, professional opinion. I have used 3M Scotchgard, Xpel, Clearshield and VentureShield. Paint protection is a very effective product and since others have mentioned 3M I wanted to point out several things to help you make the right decision. With 3M you are paying for the name and thats it. Compared to the Ventureshield, the 3M only carries a 5 year warranty...Ventureshield is guranteed for as long as you own the vehicle. Also, Ventureshield uses a great adhesive that doesnt turn yellow and can be easily be removed. I have spent two hours removing 3M film from just the hood of a Porsche because of all of the adhesive left behind. According to testing, Ventureshield is stronger than 3M plus it doesnt have the orange peel look like the 3M. 3M claims to do this on purpose to help the installers hide flaws during installation. All of my exotic car dealers prefer Ventureshield over 3M because it is the stongest, clearest and smoothest....no orange peel. Do your research on the installer and request to see some previous work. Look for stretch marks, scratches, large gaps and dry spots found on improper installations. Be sure to keep in mind that the precut kits do not fit as well as a custom cutting. Also, precut kits normally do not cover as much area as custom cutting. To properly apply paint protection requires years of experience, special techniques and a high attention to detail.
