Just ordered my slotted and drilled rotors and ceramic pads. Everything for $375 shipped.

I'll let you know how they are in 30k miles

Sure, if it isn't too much trouble. Thanks.

I have their rotors (slotted, drilled) and I am very happy with them. I matched them with Hawk HPS pads. Great combo for everyday use and spirited use. I have never autocrossed the car so I can't comment there, but for my use of the car they simply can't be beat. I've had them for one season (about 7000 miles).

Here's some more pics for those who wanted them... note that with my rotors, I painted the hats black. Really sets them off I think.

Very nice. Thanks for the pics. I've ordered a full set of the black slotted and dimpled rotors and will install them next week.

Question: Brake Performance is giving away a set of "free brake pads" with the order. Are these comparable to the OEM AC Delco pads? Or are they total crap that should be thrown out with the rest of the packing material?

I don't know, but when I ordered my rotors, I declined the pads simply because I couldn't find anything out about them. No comparisons, reviews, etc... so I went with something trusted like Hawk HPS pads. Which by the way are GREAT and dust far less than the Z06 pads.

But, if you get them for free... you know, you could always try them out for a bit and see if they work for your driving style. If you dont like them... ditch them and put something else in there. I think when I ordered, I only would have gotten them free if I ordered the dimpled rotors; but I wanted the drilled.

As I mentioned earlier, I have a set of slotted on my 95. I just got a set of drilled/slotted/zinc coated with their ceramic brake pads. I haven't put them on yet. They do look good. There is no drilling through any of the cooling vents. I'll try to take some pictures and add them to this Thread. Do a good job bedding the pads and you should be all set.

How long did it take you guys to receive your order? I placed mine last Wednesday (it is now Tuesday) and although I was charged CA sales tax (which would indicate that they're shipping from the same state I live in), I've yet to see them or receive anything but the initial receipt (no tracking has been sent). I was hoping to get these things installed by now. I'm a little underwhelmed with their shipping.

Got my set today. I opted for the slotted and dimpled rather than drilled set in black. I'm going to give their semi-metallic pads that came with the set a shot to see how I like them. I think they're going to look wicked cool. I just hope I like how they stop the car after I get the brakes all bedded in.

Installing tomorrow morning.

If I didn't recently change my rear pads/rotors, I would definitely go with a set of those rotors, they look great!

I have the GM drilled and slotted rotors..Had them cryo'ed and they now have 45,000 miles on them. They wear more evenly, thus last longer when cryo'ed. stock rotors only went 22,000..

The picture is pretty crappy because I took it in my garage and the lighting isn't great, but here's what the black dimpled and slotted rotors look like.

When they arrived, they were completely painted black and I don't think all the paint is off the fire path just yet. I had my dealer flush my brake fluid while they were at it because it was pretty dark and it has been about 25k mi since the last fluid change. The premium dimpled rotors ship with free semi-metallic pads, so I asked the dealer to look 'em over and tell me what they thought. They said they looked fine. I bedded the brakes in per the instructions that came with the rotors and felt VERY good about these rotors and pads. I can sense a significant improvement over the stock rotors, for sure. I like 'em. They should look even better after a couple hundred miles and get nice and shiny. During their inspection the tech noted that my front tie rod ends were loose, so they were replaced under warranty. Man, that GMPP has SO paid for itself with this car.

JMc: looks good! you did exactly what I'm about to do--thanks for being the guinea pig!!

They seem to be a great value--even IF we Californian's MUST give the Gov. his Sales Tax!! (I was trying to save that $$ also--but brakeperformance is in Chatsworth I think)...

Did they offer you an option to upgrade to other pads in lieu of the free ones at a discount?

Yes--I hope they get a little more bright--I did not realize the whole rotor was sprayed black!

Also--did they offer you any info on stainless brake lines? (their web site doesn't list for Corvette)

I ordered online and didn't see any upgrade path to different pads, but I had decided to probably stick with the OEM pads anyway, and these are probably pretty close to that. And yes, they're getting brighter already. I'll take another picture soon - in the sunlight. But I DO like these rotors. Very glad that I took the plunge.

I've had them on about a week now, the upgraded ceramic pads stop on a dime but show dust immediately. I've found myself wiping my wheels down daily! I'm going to look into those Hawk pads in the future.

Just an update. The semi-metallic pads that I got "free" with the black dimpled and slotted rotors dust worse than the stock AC Delcos and they squeal. I've tried bedding them in correctly, but no use.

I'm ordering a set of Hawks, but don't know which kind to get - the street or street performance. Also, I'd appreciate a heads up on who has the best price for them.

Give GMpartshouse an email/call, I'm ditching these ceramics as well...dusty and noisy, Hawk HPS's next.
