I'm ordering a set of Hawks, but don't know which kind to get - the street or street performance. Also, I'd appreciate a heads up on who has the best price for them.
I upgraded to the ceramic pads and they're not any better in terms of dust. In fact... they are awful! My wheels are covered in brake dust a couple days after I wash my wheels. They also took a couple weeks to finally break in. They stop much better now than they did when I first put them on. On the plus side, they are quite and they have nice modulation.

Wow, I missed this old post of yours... I used Rustoleum "High Heat Ultra" in black semi-gloss. It resists up to 1200°F, or so they say. I found it at ACE Hardware in the paint section with the BBQ grill spray paint cans. After 1.5 years, they are holding up beautifully.

I've used the Hawk pads as long as I've had these rotors, about 1.5 years. I love them. They dust considerably less than the stock Z06 pads, and they seem to stop fast and in a reliable manner. I plan to stick with the Hawk HPS from now on... they suit my needs perfectly.
