Just an update. The semi-metallic pads that I got "free" with the black dimpled and slotted rotors dust worse than the stock AC Delcos and they squeal. I've tried bedding them in correctly, but no use.
I'm ordering a set of Hawks, but don't know which kind to get - the street or street performance. Also, I'd appreciate a heads up on who has the best price for them.

Wow, I missed this old post of yours... I used Rustoleum "High Heat Ultra" in black semi-gloss. It resists up to 1200°F, or so they say. I found it at ACE Hardware in the paint section with the BBQ grill spray paint cans. After 1.5 years, they are holding up beautifully.
I've used the Hawk pads as long as I've had these rotors, about 1.5 years. I love them. They dust considerably less than the stock Z06 pads, and they seem to stop fast and in a reliable manner. I plan to stick with the Hawk HPS from now on... they suit my needs perfectly.
