thanks

I was trying to figure that out last night. I figure I'm very close to stock height as before, maybe at most 1/4" lower than stock. I have the Corbeau tracks. I have no idea what it would take to retain the stock power seats. I am the only one that drives my car so loosing the weight of the stock power was something I was looking forward to. Once I set the seat it will not be moving. A guy I met locally has the A4's and he retained the stock power adjustments. I find his seats sit really high though. I think my head would have hit my head liner in my situation.

The lever is not too bad to get to. I actually went to Home depot and got 2x Carabiner's like the one below. I took off the carabiner, and only used the strap. I put a key chain ring at both ends of the strap. I drilled a small hole in the end of the lever (~1/2" from the tip) and attached one of the key chain rings thru the hole. I now just reach down and put my finger thru the key chain ring at the end of the strap to lift up. I can't take credit for that idea, the guy I met locally did the same... I got 2x black straps (not red)...

Yes they do make them and it take 6-8 weeks to get the seats AND it adds about $350 PER SEAT

Thanks ! I sure did last night. Unfortunately its colder than a witches t*t today here in Dallas, and might snow today/tomorrow....
It was just 60-70 all week ! My luck I suppose.
Its supposed to warm back up on Monday just in time for starting a new work week.....

How are the cushioning and lumbar support? I ask because the wife and I like to take lots of road trips. I don't necessarily want/need tons of cushioning, but I don't want any hot spots on a long trip either. Lumbar support is important to me. How do they compare to the stockies in that regard? Also, how is the head room with these, compared to stock?

I had the Z06 seats. They had no lumbar, or side bolstering. They were basically a flat seat...... that's what I'm comparing to.

I find the Corbeau seats are very comfortable. I was out for a ~2 hour cruise Fri night and I felt good after. There is an "option" for lumbar support but I did not get that. I find they are very close to stock height with the Corbeau brackets.

Very nice. Corbeau is hard to beat in terms of cost and performance. I used to own a set of fx1 pros. Very comfy fixed back seats

Does anyone know of somewhere within a reasonable distance of northern New Jersey I would be able to find this seat to try sitting in? 100 miles or so is not out of the question. I've been planning to do this mod for a while now, just haven't gotten to it yet. I would like to try them out first. BTW, how are they when getting in and out of the car, much more difficult or not? When I use my car for work I can be in and out several times in a day.

Looks awesome dude.

I've been wanting those seats for a while. Just a matter of saving up the money.

What'd you do with your old seats?

Since you removed the power did you have to do anything to make the electronics happy or doesn't it matter?

I don't find them hard to get in and out of at all. The side bolstering is much larger than the stock seat. I find I brush that getting in and out a little.

Thanks ! My old seats are in my garage collecting dust for now. Not sure what I'm going to do with them. I know I'm going to condition them this week, and get them covered to protect them for sure. May consider selling them locally.

I just unplugged the stock seat. I don't get any warnings, no beeps, no lights etc... With the seat belt buckle unplugged it tells the computer that the seat belt is ALWAYS conected. It worked out great that way. I did not need to jumper anything. Maybe GM thought if that ?

I've been thinking about these seats... How much less do they way than stock and how much did they run you?
