When i grew up, i could never afford a cool car, and the Vette was the dream car. Now i have to tell myself, "HEY I'm driving a Vette!!" My wife is a good sport and she knows that when she is leaving the house in the Vette and i'm standing in the driveway....she nails it hard. God i love to hear those B&B PRTs and watch MY Vette going down the road.
well i just love when my wife pulls up to the house in the vette, with the top down a nice pair of shades with her hair pinned up, the door swings open and she gets out with a short skirt on, LOOKING OH SO SEXY........OOOOOOOOOO WEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
am 53, my wife is 40, always liked vettes. but it was my wife's passion for vettes that ignited my passion. which is now why we have one and enjoying it tremendously. we hope to get another one some day and keep on adding on.
I know what ya mean. my wife and I have experienced alot of that. and we've only owned ours little over a month. we have people speed up to catch up with us and look at a while then drive off in disgust, wishing they were driving a corvette.
Sometimes you think things that you think no one else does or would understand. When I'm driving down the road and a C5 is coming at me they look like they're scraping the road, they are so low looking, even the not lowered ones. Then I think that's what mine must look like to everyone else. That's why they're staring at me. They still look as good to me as the first time I saw one on the road in 1997 and knew immediately I would have one.....BTW, the ones I catch the most doing the "I'm not looking at you" but are trying to discreetly stare are usually women in their SUV's. I just don't know though, is it me they want or my car? HA! LOL
A friend was driving mine awhile back, It needed an inspection and I work a lot so he took it for the day to get it done...
On my way into work in the evening I passed him on his way home coming the opposite way on the highway. I did a neck snap to stare at the car to figure out what it was, only to discover it was my own car getting my attention!
