Default "Groundhog day" - code alert !

Have a '98 Vert that every 6-7 months or so, shows the check engine light - when I check the codes the only one active is P0327H ( front knock sensor) - I had the sensor replaced about 2 years ago - I reset codes and it's fine for another 7 months. I was under the impression that 'H' at the end of a code means 'history' and everything is fine concerning that code. Does anyone have any idea what's going on ? Please enlighten me with your wisdom, oh masters! BIG THANKS in advance.

when they replaced the sensor two years ago did they also put in the silicone water dam which prevent water from getting into the pocket?
Do you clean your engine at a car wash or do you clean your engine with engine cleaner and a hose?

They replaced (2) knock sensors, intake gasket and a connector.
I've never cleaned the engine other than wiping with a dry rag.

When I did mine, I also replace the rubber plug in the bottom of the well where the knock sensors are, they come loose and let oil in.
