Get REAL!!
This happened over a week ago and im still chuckling about it, but I thought I would share. I was coming home from my girlfriends house last week and I got on the highway headed to home base, minding my own business when I look in my rearview mirror and I see a white Camaro (2010) huggin the back of my ***, like about 2 ft. Of course Im saying WTF!!, is he serious? So were both going down the highway,about a 1/4 mi when its time for me to get off at my exit. When this ******* passes by me , I wanted to geta good look at him. Unfortunately, he had some of the darkest tinted windows ive ever seen. But HERES the kicker. It was a V-6!! I saw the back of the car to see if it was an SS model, but NO STINKIN BAGDES anywhere!! He must of thought he actually ponied up the extra cash for the V-8 model. I never intended to race this punk, but when I saw that it was the 6 cyl model , It made my day. It seems lately that Ive been attracting 4-6 cyl models of every stripe from Hondas, to the 2010 Taurus SHO, to youre run of the mill hooptie. Its getting close to the season isnt it?

Wow, a guy tailgated and passed you? That obviouly means he was trying to race you and that he thinks his V6 is fast, right? 
Maybe you drive kinda slow and that's why people pass you. It doesn't mean that, "every run of the mill hooptie" is trying to race you.

Eh... I dunno. I had lots of random slow cars try to run me in my Z. Never once gave 'em a race... Didn't seem worth it. But coming from driving F-bodies for 6 years, I can tell you that every F-body owner at some point thinks they have the fastest car on the road. My last LS1 WS6 was quick, but it wouldn't have pulled a stock C5 Z06.
The new Camaro (V8 or V6) feels fast. Some guys I know that have V8 5th Gens really wanted to run me, but I won't do it. There's no point. Both their cars are totally stock so why do it? They're also new to the whole fast car thing so they only understand "horse power, good" but not quite "power to weight ratio, better" yet. If I tired to explain how 10HP more isn't going to make their 4000Lbs cars faster than my 3000Lbs car, their heads would blow up. I can't say that I know for a fact that the majority of people out there don't know anything about cars other than the gas peddle makes the car go vroom, but it sure feels like it.

Depends what lane he was in...If he was in the right lane doing the speed limit give or take a few then no that guy was just being a moron, if he was in the left doing 60mph then probably a guy just trying to get a move on...either way i have had similar things happen to me when i am def just cruising in the right lane... Its generally the people in the "performance sedans"( acura TLs, infiniti G35-37s etc) or the newer model sports cars ie camaro, charger, who buy it because of the advertisement without knowing any real performance aspects about the car as stated about power to weight, handling traction etc etc...

Close. He's the guy who got into it with a a guy at a dealership service department. Says a new Camaro owner thought the Camaro was faster than his C5Z06. Maybe that played a role into what he ASSUMED this Camaro driver was thinking.

HAhahaha!! I love when people do that! I was in my buddy's '03 Hennessey Viper and we had a Tracker next to us that wouldnt stop rev'n his engine. PLUS, my dad just told me a story about how 3 weeks ago he was in his '02 Lingenfelter and a mid 90's Civic wanted to race. Sometimes I think its just for a good laugh, both parties know who is gonna win. Its like me (6' white guy) taking on Shaq in basketball, just not gonna happen

Unless it's an exotic or at least a semi-exotic or very clean/nicely modified cool car I don't even pay attention to them.

No i agree, im not saying they are trying to race you either ive had my fair share of people doing that behavior and i generally just dont pay them any attention, but i def get annoyed when people tailgate...especially when im in my z and i am just crusing minding myself...because to be honest if i ever had to stop or move i risk getting into an accident because someone feels the need to tail gate or drive like a moron...

To the OP, it is whatever you want it to be. No one else will ever really know, as long as you don't take the time to post a story that is purely hypothetical and try to pull it off as reality.... Leave that to TV.

Maybe it's the driver instead of the car that knuckleheads want to challenge. I've been driving high performance cars for a long time now and never had anyone want to race me on the street.
