Ok so wifey has been lookin for some time now for her own sports car. Really wanted a C5 but it just wasn't in the cards this time. She ended up with a new Camaro and it is a (flame suite on) V6. I know, I know,
but the car actually feels very solid and well built. It drives really nice and corners very well. It actually has more get up and go then I expected, cewrtainly enough for her to enjoy. It is a 6 speed so driving is fun. She was able to pick it up relatively cheap and it is a GM certified car so she got the extra 12 month bumper to bumper (covered bumper to bumper until the end of2013). And the factory 5 year 100,000 mile engine and drive train coverage. Should be good to go. I think it looks really nice and it is fun to drive regardless. Here is a few pics.
The exterior is slowly growing on me. There is no doubt it is quite aggressive in the front. I still have not come to terms with the interior.
Good looking car though.
The exterior has grown on me over the past year or so as well...
The interior, appearence wise, takes a little getting used to but I must admit the seats are far more comfortable and supportive than in my C5!
congrats on the new car. there is nothing shabby about a v6 that puts out 300 or more hp. while i am not a fan of the design, i can understand that some folks are, that's why there are different flavors of ice cream, lol!!
as one of my friends always like to say, if momma ain't happy, no one is happy! so if your wife is happy with her new ride, that says it all. she is the only one that counts in this equation.
I like the new Camaro's, but I'm amazed at how BIG they are compared to the C5...
That's the first thing I thought when I saw his pix with the C5 and camaro side by side. The camaro looks HUGE! Never would have guessed... Great color on both cars by the way...
Nice car. The Camaro is slowly growing on me. I'm 6'4" so do appreciate the size. Considering the portliness of the Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, etc. instead of pony cars, they should now be called 'clydesdales'.
Well your picture speaks to me ... I also have a 99 Mag Red w/C6Z06 wheels and guess what color is my favorite for the Camaro?
Now you have to mod the Camaro somewhat, add some white stripes and change the wheels. I have to agree about the comments on the interior. I like the seats but really don't like the dash, the fonts on the gagues and the console mounted gauges are just for show, not really usable for me.
I have a GM card that I've been collecting points on for a new Camaro but I stopped using after GM wiped out my dealer and brand on my dd Pontiac. I've got a stupid air bag light that sometimes comes on that they want me to fix on my dime (I'm past warranty in
years but only have 30m miles), so I'm not sure I want to go with GM on my next new car.
