I was thinking about our C-5's and how much alot of us
love our cars. There are many of us that bought our
C-5's new and we think of them as new. When the C-6
came out we would compare our C-5's to the new C-6.
Alot of guys thought that the C-6 was a C-5 1/2 because
they were similar.
But time march's on and the truth is that we own old vettes.
Some are 12 years old!!There are alot of low mileage vettes
out in the world but they are still old vettes. What do think
of your vette? Do you feel that you have a old car?
It may be an "older" car, but the uneducated public thinks my car is a new one all the time. I think the C5 was very well designed and is "aging" well.
When I bought my car and posted pics on facebook, my uncle thought I was crazy for buying a brand new sports car (that he thought was like $100,000). So while you and I might know they're 12 yr old cars, a lot of people assume they're new (and that's assuming you keep it in mint condition like mine is)...
It's the timeless body styling that make's the C5 ageless It will always look new unless there is a dramatic change in the styling so people can tell the diffrence with out a dout it happens in most Corvette genarations those who don't know much about vettes can't tell them apart buy year just by body style.
I dont consider my 2000 as old yet because Ive only had it since the end of 2006 and it only has 35,000 miles on it and drives/looks like new. My 1994 on the other hand looks rough & squeaks, rattles etc, so long live the c5 in excellent condition w/no squeaks & rattles
I don't care what they do to the new styling of the corvette. The C5 is a timeless beauty. I guess you'd call mine a garage queen, an 03 with 14,000 mi, but she glistens and smells like new, and she makes me feel SO GOOD when we go out for a spin.
Mine's a 2000,just went over 80,000mi yesterday and i LOVE LOVE LOVE it.. ive toyed with the idea of a c-6 but i just cant seem to bring myself to pull the trigger on one.. C-5 looks just damn sexy in comparison..

Maybe what I should asked was: Can you show us your OLD
VETTE.?
My 'vette might be 10 years old now, but driving it has made me feel 10 years younger! That feeling alone is PRICELESS! Oh, and yes, folks think it's a new car
Well my coupe is a 2000 with 60K on it but looks and drives as new. And as others have said most dont know its age and assume its styling to be current. I guess its the same way as I look at other classic designs in sports cars. When I see an older Ferrari I really dont think of it as "old" just a Ferrari and all that it represents. Same goes for my vette. At the risk of sounding biased however when I see a C4 I think older, but a C1-3 evokes "classic" and age just doesnt seem to matter. Sorry to all the C4 guys, but you shouldnt care what I think, only what you feel.

MY 04 torch red vert looks showroom new with ZR1 chrome wheels, ss engine parts, Borla stingers, etc, etc. The problem is I',m getting old and people think I borrowed my son's car!!!!
Well I don't know how all of you feel. But for me, everytime I get in my 2003, 50th. Anniversary coupe it's just like the day I bought her in 2003. She feels the same and like a sensuous lover, she still kisses me next to my ear as I turn the key and bring her to life once more. I pamper her and she gives it back. Granted, she only has traveled 13K miles, but she and I will travel many more miles before the end of the road comes. Love my Vette !
