I have a 02 Z06 and the twilight option is on. How do I turn it off? I tried to reset it in the options on the control panel but its not turning it off. Someone told me that it may be in the BCM? and need to change that setting. How do you do that?
Do you have a Canadian/exported car? A speedometer reading to 300 means you do. If that is the case you will need a tech 2 diagnostic tool(GM dealer) to turn off the twilight feature.
Thanks for the reply's. No the speedometer only reads to 200mph and I looked inside the door, where I was told to look to see if the car was a Canadian import. No signs of that. I tried the control panel, got to options, twilight reads ON, I hit the reset button and NOTHING happens. A Vette Tech told me on the phone that if the reset button did not work then it was a BCM? reset? I don't know what that is. This Tech 2 diagnostic tool? Just go to the Dealer and ask them? Then is it difficult to do then?
Tech II is the GM dealer service computer system. It provides for service programs to be run through the DLC connector. Probably be a minimum charge. Have you tried disconnecting both battery terminals for a few minutes?
I have not tried to disconnect both battery cables, I will try that quick to see and if still not, I will take it to the dealer. Thanks for the input. I will report back, hopefully with luck on my side!
Tried the battery cables, no luck. Took it to the dealer, he used the Tech II device and it worked great! He didn't even charge me! He said it was a slow day and had not worked on a Vette today! Good news!

Did he say why you couldn't change it on the DIC? Thats not normal.
No he did not say, He did say that it was also not normal to not be able to turn it off at the control panel. He did not know and v.s a more lengthy search that he felt would not be of benefit to me he just turned that option off with the Tech II.
It's a nice feature in a vehicle where headlamps aren't operated by a motor, as this causes so much extra wear and tear on those 4th generation Corvette headlamp motors.
