Default Power Seats

I know this is a non-Corvette question, but I have not received any feedback from the tahoe/yukon forum. My wife drives a 2004 Tahoe LT(memory seat) and is having trouble with the driver side power seat. Sometimes the seat will start moving back, but then seems to get stuck where other times it will go all the way back. I have checked the track and there is nothing there that is preventing the seat from moving back. Also the switch on the side of the seat is working backwards now. When you press the button forward the seat goes back and when you press the button backwards the seat moves forward. It just started doing this recently. I thought I had heard that the swtich on the door panel is the culprit, but I have not found and details. My dvd manual is no longer working, so unfortunately I do not have the troubleshooting directions in the GM manual. Has anyone else experienced this problem or could you provide assistance?
I would really appreciate it.

If its working in reverse it would be worth checking for a chafed wire and clean up the ground. The switches in the Vette are notoriously unreliable. A pre-emptive switch change may be worth a shot if its not too expensive and the other things dont fix it.
