Weather is getting warmer and the wanted a lopey sound to the vette.
I took my 01 z06 up to RPM in Garner, NC - told them i wanted a cam and anything else they would recommend dropping in while the motor is apart. The car already has long tubes and CAI. I do not drag races/road race anymore and just drive the car to work on nice days.
I ended up going with a mild cam, under drive pulleys, new oil pump, and few other odds and ends. I was very happy with the end result. I still get 25-27 miles to the gallon when cruising in 6th gear going 60-70 mph and really pulls good up high.
2nd on RPM being great to deal with. Ryan (the owner) has a lot of experience and is really great when it comes to tuning our cars. Get with Jason and he'll make sure you are taken care of. Once you see there shop you know you're working with people like us! Gearheads!
Video is coming soon! waiting on my digital camera to be returned. I'll do a cold start up vid.
what's it idle at?
idle is pretty good even under a full load with the AC on. Can't remember off hand because it really wasn't high at all. I'll probably drive it tomorrow and give you a accurate number. I want to say around 700ish if i had to guess.

When i pulled up in the parking lot I saw the following cars: c5 z06, another c5 z06, c6 vette, 2 trans ams, 1 grand national, and z28 camaro drag car. I knew I was in the right place then.
