Default Thermostat issue?

Without knowing 100% what has been done to my car i may not be able to answer some questions but first let me describe the issue. My cars fans are set to come on at 190. The coolant temperture basically never gets above that unless i really race it. The oil temperture stays around 185 or so along with the transmission temp. The last couple days the temperture has gone up past 200 and the oil temp has gone to 207 plus and im not driving it hard or anything. With a huge increase like that it makes me wonder if something is wrong with the thermostat. Even driving on the highway the temperture will stay aroudn the same but increase immediatly. I suspect the thermostat because these arent the same temps that ive had on teh car for hte last 2 years and the huge increase in oil temp without driving it hard makes me it isnt getting cooled properly. Thoughts?

First thing to check/do/rule out when this happens before going on a witch hunt for bad components.

I suggest cleaning out the HVAC condensor vanes with either a air-wand or water-wand of some sort. I'm thinking the vanes are plugged up with a gazzillion tiny rocks and other debris.

i jacked the car up and got in areas the best i could which seemed to create a lot of dust and there were a lot of tiny rocks in the front a/c one. It didnt seems to change the temp at all.

Are both of your fans still working? Do they both come on at 190? It is possible that one, or both, "are worn out", because at 190 they are going to run constantly. The C5's normal operating temperature is in the 190 to 196 range while cruising. If your fans are set to come on at 190, then they will be running all the time. If you set them to 200-210, then they will not run while you are crusing. Only when stopped or in stop-n-go traffic.

Just a thought...
