Default Removing Interior Panels

I have to check out some wiring for my 12 disc changer and need to remove the interior panels along the passenger side to get the wires free. I do not want to break anything, so whats the way they panels remove? Maining the "kick panels" I thin kthey are called, which run along the bottom by the doors. Thanks!

Your going to laugh but no screws they are just pushed in place via retaining clips. Use a plastic pry tool and locate the clips along the sill and pull em out should not take ya more than a minute or so. cracks me up how these are held together

Actually it was probably a good idea to do it this way since there is no metal back there just a thin SCM formed tub that is glued in. The front seating compartment is a combination of steel and aluminium sandwiched balsa wood floors.

That's why it is recommended to use weleded in roll bars on C5's as the roll bar will just go right through the floor if it's not welded to the frame.

Just be careful pulling off the panels not tho break the metal clips or tabs on the back of the panels.

The wiring for your CD run from the passenger footwell back.

For about $5 Harbor Freight has an upholstery tool kit, just plastic tools. I used them yesterday when pulling the trim for carpet removal, they worked like a charm.

i have been pulling the interior apart and replacing it each weekend as i work on a radio head unit and double d bezel mod. it comes apart and goes together with less nut and bolt (or screw) type fasteners than a basic erector set windmill (you have to be a bit older to get that reference, lol). it all just pulls apart and then just presses back in place with the clips that are formed as part of the trim piece being removed. any plastic trim tool will help, but it isn't really necessary. just grab an edge and gently work it up and away from the body part it is seated to.
