Is xs powered C 5 headers copies of American racing headers made in
China?
Just searching for performance mods for
y 99 coupe and found a few heade rs.
Obx is cheap bit china made. And bad fit. No go on myamericAn corvette.
Lg appears to be American made and well known. Unsure of performance.
American racing is expensive but fits the best. American made.
I compared picture after noticing xs powered headers came on the forum. They look very close to American race. Are they copies? They look shiny like the Chinese headers I'm used to.
Can someone post pictures of both,? I can't figure out how to post them says I'm. Not authorized.

Just finished an install of XS Power headers minutes ago. It took two us 6 hours with a lift. They fit perfectly with one minor modification. I can't wait to give them a little more road time.

pretty sure i read that OBX is made of the same quality stainless that the other Brands Use..and have great welds also..and just noticed someone posted that the "xs power" headers were installed easy with a "minor modification"...installed OBX headers on my 04z lil over a month ago and they went in very easily with great fit and with no modifications.best bang for the buck

I understand z06 that obx fit bad. Maybe u were lucky.
My main reason is just because thy are advertised as us made but this is not true and all these Chinese systems will crack over time with heat cycles.
My point has really been made when I went to the American racer headers site.
I've sent a email to them to see if they can come on the forum and respond. I don't know if they visit this site.
Is lg us made or american racing us made better. I must choose a us system for my us made car.

bashing a quality product. They could have used satin pipes but why? everyone demands and wants polished stuff..... fitment is perfect. And by all conversation I have been told and had it assured they are made in the USA out of superior 321 stainless. Make your choice if you are even in the market and please stop trying to give a bad rep.
Best bang for the buck system? XSPower by a longshot....

Btw, if they are knock-offs, they did a damn good job for a lot less money!

No bashing from this man. Jut wanting the answer. I work in welding and no how bad the Chinese steel is and after heat cycles and heat they will crack. I have invited ameerican racers to the forum to see what they say. I await there response.
Someone that know how to post pics please do so of the two

OBX
649.99 shipped for the non catted
849.99 shipped for the catted
let me know if i can help you with more info. I have sold a couple hundred of these with two issues
one
the person had a collector that was welded on and angled up slightly. OBX replaced it no questions asked
2
one header i just heard about the week had a o2 bung that had messed up threads. The customer welded on somethign new and now wants a replacement. OBX normally does not replace parts that have been altered, but I am getting it replaced for them.

I agree with Dennis, I just bought and installed your headers and they look and fit great, but that does'nt mean others are junk. To each there own. To bash others products is just not right. I tell all my employees that putting someone down to make yourself look better is one of the worlds biggest problems. Focus on your own product and you will gain sales and trust.
Thanks Steve
I am glad your enjoing your headers. I even recall our phone conversation we had one day.
