Default Pulled Codes and need TS help please

Hello about two weeks ago i was going over a set of railroad tracks making a right hand turn and the road was wet and it went over the tracks and slide for a sec and grabbed. Once i was going straight I had the TCS and ABS light went off. So i thought i must have jarred something loose in the rear end that has to do with it. I wasnt speeding around the turn, trying to showboat or anything, the roads were wet and it broke loose when it got onto the tracks of the railroad. So i pulled the codes and this is what i had

TCS- 1243H -- BPMV Pump motor stalled

BO RFA- U1096H Loss of Comm with IPC
U1064H Loss of Comm with BCM
U1016H Loss of Comm with PCM

Where do i start?? How do i troubleshoot this? thanks in advance , Jay

If you don't have any codes that have a C then I wouldn't worry. The lights go off to warn you they the AH/TCS was needed to control you car. Check the battery connections and grounds but with no current codes just drive and enjoy.

They stay on all the time though, both ABS and Traction control. Jay

Yep, the C1243 will get you. Will start off intermitted and eventually will be there full time. First try checking the ground connection by the BPMV. Could also try looking for wet roads and try to activate the active handling to exercise the pump motor. This would only work if the fault is not active at the time. Others have stated that they put the car on jack stands and get the wheels spinning and apply the brakes to activate the pump. At some point you may well need a new pump.

The loss of comm codes can be caused by a number of power glitches and are nothing to worry about.

First of all clear down the H (history) codes and see if anything comes back. My guess is they won't. If so you can rest easy. If the BPMV code comes back we can dig deeper.

In addition to the ground by the pump, check the wiring bundle from the EBCM, the one which passes in front of the cooling fans. Also check MaxiFuse 52 in the underhood fuse box.

You say it comes back but you're posting a C1243H. That's a history code. Are you seeing a "C" code too? An H cant set without a C first

Jay, did you go through the procedure to clear the currently displayed codes? Once done, there really should not be any codes at all displayed when you go through the readings;at least until you start and drive again as one may resurface, of course.

I seem to get the loss of comm codes every 3 months, I always clear them and I am good to go. I figure they come up if I get a power glitch.

Jay,
The ebtcm ABS Module on the '97-'98 (early model) are located in the rear, f you look at the pics in the thread above with the links I gave you it will show it.

Now if you have Late '98 to 2004 then it is located up front and right in front of the power steering pump -

It is the large clip that goes into it and it has a big handle to "PULL" down in order to unclip it from he module.

Then you can inspect it and make the necessary adjustments to the female part of the clip (like in the above thread)

Thanks,Matt

Check your grounds on top of frme under hood. They will be near the front, close to radiator. Don"t just check for continulty, pull off and clean. Apply diaelectric.
You can also disconnect battrey for about 3 minutes, this will reset your computer to default.
Good Luck
