Thinking about spraying brake light covers with a spray blackout tint. Looking for members who have done this and what kind of material did you use? Looking for some do it your self help.
You know, you don't see Porsches and Ferraris with blackout kits...
I just don't understand why the "blackout craze"....IMHO it cheapeans the look of the car, it is a safety issue, and it is against the law.
Let's see what else JC Whitney sells to put on Corvettes.....may I suggest a big "ironing board" rear spoiler.....chrome fender wells.....how bout some Landau bars!!! Yeah, thats the ticket......
but I guess if that is what is going to make you happy.
I just finished doing all of my lights. The best thing you can do is spend most of your time preping the lights you want to tint. The better you get the surface the easier it is to polish up later.
I sanded everything two coats of nightshades and then a bunch of clear over that. wet sand and polish to a high gloss.

I like tinted lights, and have them, illegal, yes, but hey, life can't be a plain bowl of jello all the time . I first tinted mine with VHT nightshed, didn't like the way they came out, so I went ahead and ordered the complete set, front/side/back, from, I believe, it was JP .
rustoleum make a black tinting spray that most hardware or autozone places carry. I pulled my lights off, did 1 coat, waited overnight, then put them back on the car.
<<<< i was thinking of using a spray but i got a fixit ticket already for my tahoe, which i sprayed and i had to buy new brake lights...
so i went with covers

When you know the LEO's are the way they are in a certain area, the covers, static cling, ones are probably best.

This is the exception, not the norm......pretty soon the C5 will be just like every other Honda Civic owned by a teenager......
Your pics of the "exceptions" are show cars, look at the license plates. Even the Lambo with the TX is parked with other display cars around it. Nice try.
