Ok....we now have the solution for the Auto guys....
Our Corvette Auto-Manual shift **** converter will allow you to use any of the standard C5 threaded 9/16-18 shift ***** on the Automatic shifter. To change gear position, you just press down on the entire ****.
Also works on the C6 Automatic also.....Just make sure you order a shift **** designed for the C5, threaded with 9/16-18
Do not tell me I do not listen to the forum suggestions...

Some really nice looking ***** on here. I've had the same MOMO leather/steel shifter on my C5 for years. If i win the lottery this week I may have to put an order in. Add a couple of options and this is a $200 shift ****!!

I'd really like to see a T handle with a thumb button, like my old Fiero had. I'm going to measure the shafts but I'm afraid the shaft is a larger diameter in the C5.

Looking at C5 colored round 6spd *****, what the difference between the copolymer and a non copolymer? And when using this style how much further down would the **** sit when compared to a stock C5 shifter ****? Is the "Hybrid" sleeve on the bottom necessary or can the ball be used without it?

Copolymer is a plastic. It's light-weight, but does not feel hot or cold like metal shift ***** do when the temperatures are really high or low. Copolymer always feels comfortable.
I do not have a stock C5 shift **** so I cannot compare the height. The height of each **** should be listed online, and they are all threaded 2 inches deep, so you can calculate how much of the **** will be sitting above the top of the shift lever.
The Hybrids are a combination of half stainless steel and half copolymer. The stainless provides weight and strength, and the copolymer provides comfort. I can make a part from solid copolymer but it will be much lighter weight (around 100 grams), and it can be threaded to screw directly onto the C5 shift lever with 9/16-18 threads.

Brand new from Southern Car Parts....finally Corvette shift ***** that use the same thread pattern as the stock C6 and C5 shifter that are made of high quality materials and look awesome. Very customizable, including having the factory shift pattern engraved on the top.
Check them out at the links below, lots of options for each basic style, so scroll down to the bottom of the page so you can see how customizable these shift ***** are...
C5 Shift *****....
Corvette C5 Sphere Shift ****
Corvette Hybrid Shift ****
Corvette C5 Piston Shift ****
Corvette C5 Stainless Steel Shift ****
And then the Corvette C6 Custom Shift *****
Corvette C6 Stainless Shift ****
Corvette C6 Piston Shift ****
Again, all of the above ***** are made in the USA with TOP NOTCH materials. No cheap stuff, you can tell just holding them in your hands that they are pure quality!!!
They take 2-3 days top ship and some orders can take a week to ship, but worth the wait and every penny!!!!
They fit ALL C5 and C6 Corvettes including the ZR1 and Z06.
Check them out when you have time...

Hmmm... I think I want one then. How much do they run? I didn't read all these pages so I apologize if someone else already asked and I missed it. I want whatever is going to keep my shifter the shortest. I'm kind of liking the machined share **** I think but done in that gunmetal finish would be cool.

Jim,
I only made mine out of a wooden ball (although I think it looks pretty good ) but perhaps it is possible for you to have something manufactured based on my design that fits over the top of the A4 shifer adapter, you would be able to offer shift ***** that sit lower for the A4 owners.
I used a 2.5" wooden ball but I'd think a 2.25" copolymer ball would be workable although the tolerances would be closer.
I'm no expert but I thought at least I'd put it out there.
John

John,
Did not want you to think we were ignoring you. Thanks for doing this. We are going to see if we can make a copoly version of your design.
Thanks,
Jim

Do the manuals ***** sit lower than stock? If yes, how much lower? I can't stand how high the stock one sits.
Will this work in a C5?
