Awesome!! You have true vette/forum spirit!! To Mrs. Dieseldave,,again condolences,,and wishing you a smooth emotional recovery. I know there is no such thing as a speedy recovery for this situation,,it takes time,,just can hope for a smooth one. From your actions so far,,sounds like you have a strong emotional foundation,,and you will get there!! Best wishes!!
Please let me add my condolences along with the rest of the forum members. I didn't know Dave, being new on the C3 forum, but he is certainly respected, and missed.
Feel free to PM me if you'd like, in case I miss this thread.
First off sorry about your loss.
Now, If it were me I would take a floor jack with a 2x4 across the top and to the cross member in the rear and jack it up a bit to remove the rear blocks and then lower it very slowly.
As for the front I would do the same way, But I would have a 2 inch block to lower it onto so you can get the jack out.
Hope that helps.
Here is a photo of the jacking points on a C5.
Mr.Bill
I'd have an expert tire guy come out and "Make sure they use Jacking Pucks and a sturdy floor jack and safely lower the car, maybe not all in one shot ( it looks kinda high up) but lower six inches at a time and once it's close to the ground lower it all the way down. I recommend this so as not to twist anything. Good luck and I'm sorry for your loss !
