Default Cat back decision

I am considering replacing the stock exhaust system on my 2001 C5 LS1 with a cat back system. I want a moderate performance sound as opposed to mild or aggressive. Any suggestions on brand? Suggestions or cautions on replacement process? Thanks!!

Forum vendor Superman09 sells some XSPower catbacks, even has video you can watch and listen to...and they won't break the bank. I plan on getting these eventually

Borla stingers here. Love 'em, and get lots of comments on them.

Make sure you hear them in person, then get the right one for you.

I had a '97 with Corsa Touring cat backs. I liked the sound and wanted a set for an '04 Vert. I had a hard time understanding the cost of the Corsa vs. XSPower. I went with XSPower and love them. They're a little louder at idle and under acceleration but very quiet cruising with NO drone.

The cars in most videos/sound clips have other modifications besides the catback so take them with a grain of salt. If you can listen to cars similar to yours whether modded or not and then decide. My personal choice was between GHL's and Corsa Touring. I went with the GHL's and am very happy with them.

I have the Corsa Indy system on mine - great sound at WOT, but not loud when just cruising down the highway.

I've heard, from inside car and outside, a number of different systems. The Corsa's have noticably less drone in the 1500-2000rpm range - just as they advertise. I have not hear the XSPower system though.
