Default car shutting off while driving

I bought my 99 C5 about 8 months ago and since then it seems to have some sort of electrical issue, I start the car and it feels and sounds very of rough and when I am driving it and I dont rev, it just dies

this are the codes I am getting
10 PCM P0410 H C
P0420 H C

28 TCS C1286 H C

99 HVAC B0361 H C
B0441 H

And there were a lot more History codes

I reseted the codes and the car got even worse I can not stop rev because it just dies.

It seems like the previous owner was messing a lot with the car, I am planning to stay with this car for a long time, I really like it a lot. I have already fixed some minor issues the car had like replacing the power window reg., oil sensor and some other stuff, I am willing to spend money on it but I also want to learn how to fix it. I really would like some help and also, if there is any good shop in florida close to tampa where I can take the car

I believe those are common codes, do a search in the tech section. First 2 are emissions related i believe...

The HVAC codes are the dirvers side actuator. Have you used the AC yet?Try resetting the codes and see what comes back. I can check the other codes when I get home unless someone beats me to it.

Check the electrical connections inside the accordian cover at the door hinge. Pull the cover off and then you have to fish the connection out from the frame of the car. Its typical for the one wire (forget which off the top of my head) to become exposed and cause some crazy electrical issues.

I'd also check to see if the battery may have ever leaked. In my previous car, the old battery had leaked onto the wiring harness below and when it rained caused an electrical issue that resulted in the engine missfiring.

Two easy things to check and possibly rule out.

There are plenty of threads advising owners to check the grounds too.

And also check battery connections and ground for tightness and corrosion.

could also be a valve spring broken rather than an electrical issue --
how many miles on the car?

No problem. I had the door conection issue on my current Vette. A little liquid electrical tape or standard electrical tape and problem is fixed. Takes 5 minutes. We then looked at my buddies car and his wires were exposed too.

My last car had the battery issue. The leaky battery had also affected the vacuum lines for my a/c. I wasn't able to switch whcih vents air came out of - always came out the defogging vents. ECS ended up hooking me up with a quick fix when my car was there for something else.

Good luck,

Charlie
