Was told that my ECBM was not powering up. I get svs in dic, all i get for codes is TCM - NO COMM. I guess if its not powering up, its not talking.
I spoke to absfixer and he thinks it may be a bad power supply inside the unit which he says cannot be repaired. I checked more and found module master & autoecu. They both say that their rebuild will fix my problem, (even bad power supply)
Does anyone have any experiences withe either of the companies? Both have good prices and warranties.
im in the same boat, and i got there after having mine "fixed" by the auction site guy... he told me i "could send it back for additional testing", but that didnt sound very promising... i called absfixer as well, and he told me the same thing he told you. i really dont like the idea of buying a new one. keep me updated on what you decide to do

So you had the not powering up problem as well? Are Module Master & Autoecu on the auction site? Module Master claims a 5 year warranty
i had the "normal" issue first... got the scrolling messages on the dash, and the lights on the IC... dont remember the exact codes, but they were the ones everybody else got that prompted them to send to absfixer. i'm a fulltime college student and money is tight, so i went the cheaper route and found the guy on the auction site. figured it was a win/win since he offers a LIFETIME warranty... got it back, installed it, worked for a week, now i'm getting no comm... not pleased at all
