Hey guys I am somewhat new here I've been lurking around but really haven't posted much since I wasn't an owner of a Corvette; really just was trying to gain knowledge so I could find the "one" if you may. But as of Wednesday, September 29th, 2010 I feel very proud to say I picked up my first Vette. I feel like I got an amazing deal. It's a black 1999 FRC with only 29k. The car is immaculate and looks brand new, there's not one single scratch or dent and the interior is completely perfect, I scanned all over and I couldn't find one single mark. It's pretty much stock except the exhaust (Dual outlet Borla Stingers) and the rims (Chrome Z06 Motorsports). I was able to get the car for 17,900. I had to drive quite a bit but I have to say it was well worth it and I couldn't be happier. I remember reading about many of you talking about how when you first got your Vette it's a never ending grin while you're driving, and... I have to admit I'm guilty of grinning for 3 hours straight driving it home . Well I just wanted to say I am very happy with this decision and I have some decent plans for the car (H/C/I/E) . I'll post pictures this weekend. Just felt like telling everyone that I'm pumped up about getting my first Corvette. Thanks guys
Here are a couple pics that I took right before I left this morning. The camera I used wasn't so amazing, but I'm sure I'll get some really nice ones during my years owning the Vette!

Welcome to a new FRC brother!!! A very unique car you have there, the production numbers are quite low!!Allowing for natural attrition,,and a lot were used for racing,,the actual numbers are now most likely pretty low!! ENJOY,,,I'm sure you will!! Just make sure you have a CAGS eliminator and make sure it has ,,or get a CLB(column lock bypass)!! The factory fixes for the infamous locking problems SUCK,,and they may very well leave you stranded. Lets hope the prior owner has already installed a CLB for you!!FRC's are GREAT cars,,as you are already learning!!
The sun is coming out?????Wow! I thought it was just going to keep on raining until we all drowned in our Vettes!
I thought so too! So i had no choice but to check the weather hoping for sun and it looks like Saturday and Sunday will be mid 70's and sunny. I'm very much looking forward to it lol.

Thanks a lot! Yep I got pretty lucky on this one, only 2 elderly owners and both used it as a weekend/ nice sunny day car and kept it garaged during the winter. I fully inspected it and it really is immaculate. All original paint and not one single rockchip or scratch And since I've been around here on the forums I knew to look out for the Cags and CLB so I already have them on order They should be in next week so definitely going to install asap.
Thanks for the welcome everyone! Definitely excited to be apart of the forum and an owner of a beautiful Corvette FRC. Pics will be up Saturday!
