Hello Redshift, would love to see the rest of your car....wow, looking at the interior pics...well I don't know what to expect, nothing but the best. Pls. post some pics and envy will be your reward I am sure!!! Rob
That was our SEMA show vehicle from 2003 or 2004. Here are more pics:
Christmas came early, and the husband did very well and bought me the heated seat kits for the driver and passenger... Now we can finally put the advice/tutorials in this thread to some use!! Hopefully before I go back to work on Monday! Thanks again everyone!
Ok, question for you guys who put the switches in the same location as the active handling/traction control button. Did you guys have to modify that piece any? I ask because it doesn't look like it has enough room depth wise for the switches that came with my kit. Just curious how you guys managed to fit your switches in that location.

Take another look at the How To I posted in post #11. You need to trim the circuit board to get enough room behind for the switches to fit. Someone posted some pictures around the time I fitted my heaters but that was a good few years ago.
Like DeeGee said, I trimmed the circuit board and the black plastic cover on the bottom as well. Hardest part of the whole job was staring at it for an hour or so trying to decide whether to actually cut it or not lol.
only problem I see with that location is if the passenger leaves thries on the driver cant see the switch. I may go with the ashtray idea. I installed them in my Sky and truck and this car needs them too.
With the rocker type of switch that comes with all of these kits, it's actually easier to feel the switch to see if it's on than to look at it.
I agree the hardest part of the whole job was staring at it for an hour or so trying to decide whether to actually cut it or not. In the end, I elected to mount the switches in the ash tray lid. You can't see them if you flip the lid down so there is no change in the "look" of the interior.
My husband and I both work at an electrical connector manufacturer where PC boards are also processed, and he was a tech in the processing area for about a year before he got into engineering... He should know what to cut and what not to, I hope! Thanks again everyone!
Wow, looking at that pic I'd be nervous too.
I'm very happy with my location in the ashtray door.
Let us know how you make out with the install. You'll love them!
