I have entertained the idea of selling my Vette before. I am revisiting the idea now, but not sure whether to sell it as is, or part it.
Since doing the mods, I have been having an issue with some sort of miss. WOT is incredible, however constant speeds below 65 are jerky and annoying as hell. I really don't want to go through the hassel of returning the car to stock, only to find that I still have the exact same issue. So here are the specs:
1997 Coupe
105,000 miles
Mods:
1. P1SC w/ A&A bracket
2. FMIC
3. Ported LS6 243 heads w/ crane dual springs and ti retainers
4. Cam(226/232, .570/.575)
5. LS6 intake with valley plate6. 60lb injectors7. Walbro 255 fuel pump
8. Kenne Bell Boost-a-pump w/ racetronix harness
9. Kooks headers with hi flow cats and X-pipe(still have stock H-pipe and Z06 exhaust)
9. LS2 timing chain
10. A&A crank pining kit
11. Boost/Wideband/fuel pressure gauges
12. Spec stage 3+ clutch
14. Deep dish thin spoke wheels
15. C6 shifter(just the shaft and **** portion
The bad:
Salvage title
Hole in the hood from lack of clearance for my catch can
Water leaks in from somewhere, have found water in the right side cargo bin
Strange miss that I can't get figured out
Targa top flew off and cracked the frame and scratched the top
F bumper could use a repaint
Pass side door needs repainted where some jackass let his door slam into mine in high winds
I think the trans is leaking, though I haven't pinpointed where it maybe coming from
4th gear grinds on a quick shift
Tub is busted behind the left tail lights, (didn't see that until doing some work on tail lights)
I believe the tub had been replaced as there is some fiberglass work done near where the quarters meet the roof
Terrible body work on the rear portion of the left rocker panel
I believe the rear shocks are bad as well, rear end bounces quite a bit on bumps
These are all the major things I can think of off the top of my head. Probably some other minor things as well.
So what do you think? Is it worth trying to save it?
A lot of them I could fix fairly easily, but don't know I want to dump any more money into it to do that.
You may find the the Salvage Title could be the deal breaker, unless someone is planning on making it a track car. A lot of people shy away for that kind of title.

More money in parting out IMO!! Don't think it would get much on a straight out sale!!

My intent was to sel it outright. Then I started thinking about everything that is wrong with it and realizing people may not want to deal with it. It does run good at WOT though.

Parting out (pros)
-You may get a few more dollars overall then selling the car outright.
Parting out (cons)
-May take some time to recoup the money you would have made by selling it.
-It takes time to remove all the parts you want to sell and you time also has a price. You get dirty, and it may take days to part it out.
Selling (pros)
-If the right buyer comes along with the right price the car will sell quickly, no fuss, no mess.
-You don't have to get dirty or waste days on parting the car out.
-The money will be cash in hand without having to wait on selling your parts to get it. Example: Selling the car for 10,000 finding a buyer in a week or two. vs selling each part and making 12,000 grand over a course of months or even a year.
selling (cons)
- You may make a little less money, but is $1000 or $2000 grand really worth it if you have to wait months for it and it's not in a lump sum???
I say fix what you can and sell it as is...

Thanks. I have considered most of this and this is exactly why I am posing the question. Lump sum would definitely be nice, though.
I don't mind the work so much, and I've been working on my cars since I was 14 and I get very dirty doing it, so that isn't an issue either. In fact, it might be a fun learning experience for later should I purchase another one.
I have also considered using the engine, or at least part of it(heads) and brakes to upgrade my Chevelle.
