You could get a regular double din radio. It probably won't be a popular option on this forum, but I'm going this route until I can afford the mac-daddy unit I want.
It has built-in Bluetooth calling, Bluetooth wireless audio, USB storage support, and iPod direct control. You can add on HD radio, Sirius, and XM radio as well.
All I'm giving up is DVD and integrated navigation. (I have a stand-alone Garmin that works just fine.) I'm not sure what the craze is all about for a reverse mounted back-up camera.
The expensive unit I want would be one of the high-end Kenwoods. I'd stick with them because I like their Garmin navigation.
have u used that pioneer yet... i would highly recommend the kenwood non touch screen model over the pioneer
I can not post pricing on these due to MAP guidelines with Kenwood Unless you want to pay full MAP retail
There is a 6160 but for 35.00 more for the 6960 you get a remote, and an extra year warranty which is worth it. The 6960 and 9960 both come with 2 year warranties
whats the difference between those three as far as options and things
Pioneer 3200dvd kinda stinks. it works, sure. The screen looks fairly poor compared to what it should be. Looks washed out. It is a pretty dumb mp3 player, doesnt remember usb sticks.
Interface is also pretty stupid if you use the radio. Too many button presses - it really shows its age with cell phones these days just lapping the interface.
I've not tried anything else, however I did only pay $250 for mine new - so in fairness it does it's job well enough considering the price.

Wanted to update the information on this unit. It does NOT support iPhone iOS4 with bluetooth or music streaming. So if you've updated your iPhone 3G/3GS or have an iPhone 4, then this isn't the unit for you.
I'm going with the Pioneer AVH-P3200BT after discovering the above info.
