A lot of people are running 305,315, and 335. To retain a stock look I would't go past 305. Now we are only talking MM here but thats just my 2cents. The 315 and 335 start sticking out to far in my opinion but work just fine.

I can't resist, (good looking setup), but I dont see a 315 in the 555 lineup (Nitto's site). What diameter and aspect ratio are those? From the angles, the almost look like an 18/35. Side views?? Thanks!
I was running 315s a while back and they stuck out a few mm's looking down from atop the rear quarter panel. I am running 305s now and they do not stick out, plus they are a better fit for stock 10.5 wheels. I would think you will have to add more negative camber to bring the top of the wheel in with 315s. I also highly doubt you will see any gain in traction with 315s on stock wheels.
Fit seems to be as varied as the tire manufacturers choose to make it. Invo 325/30/19's seem to run small and fit, though tight, almost no other 325 will though. Nitto / Toyo "R" compound 305's run big, more like std. compound 315's would measure. Diameter seems a little more consistent with most manufacturers, but the Yokohama 305/30/19 shows 26.1 inches dia, while most others are in the 26.3 - 26.4 range. Stock 295/35/18 is about 26.1.
From inner liner to the outer lip, (on my car), measures 12.5 inches so it would seem anything more than 12.25 section width has to stick out or rub. But it doesn't seem like you can completely trust the mfr.s published numbers, other than - yes it will actually fit an 18" or 19" wheel. Me, I'm pretty well set on going with R888's in 275/305.

Tell me about your rear wing. Who produces, how did you mount and how is the results. Thanks
Its clearly made by APR, which is a big name product in the import scene. Normally those wings are found on evo, sti's and other etc imports. Never seen one on a vette. I know if it was my vette i wouldnt put that on. Again, just my opinion. To each is their own.

Notice the red tow hook? chances are this is a track car, not a street use car.
and 305s dont stick out in front either. but ya kinder need -2* camber up front too.

i run 305 nitto invo's on my 04 z with a 20" wheel-they work great for the street and are very quiet..
i ran nitto 555r2's on my 01 z and they were wider in the 305's because of the rim dia on the stock z06 wheel..
they worked great also..i did not have them on yet in this pic...
since i live in kaliforneia..its warm a lot..i love the nitto's 555r2's ran great , quiet , cheap, and they hook up if you go to 305 size on rear...i ran 285's up front.no issues with anything other than a lot more dust /road dirt on side of car..i would also recommend some kind of splash guards for the Z if you drive it on the street alot, after 25k miles with the wide nitto's my silver Z was pretty sandblasted in many lower side areas of the car.

imo,the 315/30 doesn't look right.with a 275/40/17 front, the sidewall height is 110mm.the 315/30 sidewall is only 94.5mm.it makes the front tire look bigger than the rear.if you go with a 305/35 the sidewall will be 110.25mm.it will look much better with the front tire.
