Default 4 or 5 point harnesses!!!

Looking to see if anyone is running 4 or 5 point harnesses with factory C5 seats. If so how does it fit when you have it on and is it comfortable with a factory seat.

Which seat are you referring to?

The standard / base RPO: AR9 seats or the Custom Sport Seats with the horizontal slot under the head rest?

For what it’s worth… my opinion… If you’re thinking about installing a harness at the very least go with the 5-point or 6-point.

4 or 5 points are not DOT approved.

Now for However, 6 points are a better choice.

Need a Harness Bar for the shoulder straps.
Shoulder straps need to go thought the seat backs NOT around the seat back for support

BK mounting hardware for the seat belts and sub belts

the sub belts come up between the sea back and seat bottom. ie you sit on the sub belts.

the 6 point has two sub belts. a 5 point has a single sub belt and can comprise the family jewels

four points are almost a waist of money. Just use the three points and snug them up tight

Good Luck

The were comfortable with the Sport Seats I had. I did try a set used with Factory Z06 seats, and they wouldn't stay tight and kept sliding off.

5 point minimum -

I use the 6 point and a chest strap on my set-up from CROW Enterprizes.

What are you shooting for? looks only or for use at the track?

Not D.O.T approved for street driving.

Thanks,Matt

I've got 6 point with the factory sport seats -- an Arizona Speed harness bar puts the shoulder belts at exactly the right height. the lap belts and 2 sub belts attach to the BK belt mount kit I installed -which also attach the factory belts for daily driving. The 6 point setup is very snug and secure for track day - can't beat that strapped down feeling.

I used 6 point in my C5 prior to the wreck and soon I will put them up for sale, the 6 point is the way to go in my book
