At least you were driving the car in the manner in which it was intended. I used to race F-1 motorcycles back in the day, and I still did stupid while riding on the road sometimes. Glad your OK. Look at it as an oppertunity to improve your Vette.

Sorry about the damage to your car - even with active handling, it doesn't take much for the car to lose grip when the temps are this cold. The laws of physics will still prevail. Best of luck on the repairs and a TS front bumper would look awesome.
The system is NOT foolproof! Even in hot weather with tires sticking the Corvette has always been happy to switch ends on you. Alot has to do with the tight suspension and weight split leaving the rear @ half the weight of the car. Upon cornering this weight wants to come around on you fast. I notice if I am cornering to keep steady on the gas, any power added will want to bring the rear out. Lift the gas first in an occasion such as this and always steer into the spin. Rear end swinging around to the right side around a hard left corner, turn the wheel to the right to counter the spin. Hard turn to the right and rear comes out, turn steering to left a lil to compensate. Everyone should grow up driving on dirt roads and our skills would be so much better!
Glad to hear the OP is doing well. Hard to replace life, Vettes can be replaced.
I dont think I will ever understand the appeal of the tiger shark. The front end is ugly and the rear is hideous. Its like drawing a mustache on the Mona Lisa.

Thats bull****, cause i've had the same thing happen to me where it didn't come on. Only difference is I didn't wreck mine when that happened to me.
Active Handling will always activate as long as it is working properly BUT it also can activate and not be able to help you if you've pushed the car too hard. You can NOT expect Active Handling to bail you out of every situation... If you do expect that, you may be starting a thread of your own just like this one.......
Sorry to hear of your misfortune. AH is a nice feature, but it is easy to overpower. Works great for normal driving and getting loose in water and such, but getting into the gas you can over power it. Add mods and that becomes even more true. When performance driving you should not rely on it.
If you're looking for a tigershark I can set you up with one. The vararam will fit but some of the ducting will be blocked. Somebody piste pics a year or so ago but I can't find the post right now.
Get your tigershark from JW. Glad you are ok. hope your car gets fixed up good.
Is this real?? Looks like a Vette mated with a Camaro
Man you're crazy. I think this looks great, and I'm not a big fan of the TS fascias. I really like the TS hood, though. The best thing about the rear TS is the area you can paint a contrasting color. This makes it look outstanding, IMO.
well the cars at the body shop, im trying to get a pic loaded from my cell phone?? adjuster is coming to look at it today. i appreciate all the support, it really sucks to look at my car right now. i didn't even want to drive it to the shop this morning, like everyone was looking at her...i think im just going back to a stock front fascia, my vararam wont work on other covers, and i like it.
it was just weird, i never saw AH come on the dash, but i think its time to slow down a little, and enjoy what i have. at least my body shop guy is going to eat the $500 ded.
i have State Farm ins, so hopefuly they wont drop me,,,,,,,,so much for cheap ins
