I'm not into old cars but if you like them, YES! You can find a Corvette on every corner, would be easy to buy another one.

My first question is, why is someone willing to trade a $34K plus '64 SS Impala for an '03 Vette. They are getting the short end of the stick it would seem. Next question is would this be a daily driver? I would be all over this trade if in fact the '64 is as perfect as you say it is, because I would only be using the Impala as a limited driver and local cruise-ins and shows. As already stated, you can always buy an other Vette at a good price, but '64 Impala's are not on every corher.

Let us know what you do.....and good luck....Got any pics of the SS ?
I was thinking the same unless your c5 vert is modded or special to you and you would miss the exact one. I also happen to like the impaa=la cause thats what I learned to drive stick on a 63 impala with 327 3sp on the column.
My friend had one that he cut up and made a lowrider out of. Wish I had a pic of the car.

It all depends on the quality and condition of the 64 and what you plan to do with the car.

I love the older Chevys. See my 55 in the Corvette Garage.

I recently bought then sold a 66 Chevelle ss with a 454 and Now I have a 69 Camaro SS with a small block 408.

I like them in addition to my Vette.

Heck yes! Drive it for a while and if you don't like it, flip-it and get another Vette and have a little bit of cash left in your pocket too.

If that '64 is in as good a shape as you say, then it would be a tough call - the Impala will appreciate much more in value than the C5 probably ever will.

Can't figutre out why the owner of the '64 cannot sell it, buy an '03 vert, and pocket the difference. Ther should be a difference.

Very strange...

Two simple answers to ask yourself:
1) Do I drive the 'vette every day?
2) Would I drive its replacement every day?

Financially its not a bad deal if the impala is numbers matching and in great shape.

But for me? Hell no!

Yes, make sure it's the real deal.... then go for it.

You'll be able to buy another good C5 in the next couple of years.

If it's and either or situation keep the Vette. You'll get more use and fun out of it.

Good luck !!!!
