So, where is the OP? Many of us have taken the time to post a detailed response with pics....sometimes I wonder I like to know if my efforts were worth it/helpful, reasonable expectation.

I have a 4-post and there is some good info here. I wondered about bolting it down before, but like the idea of wheels to move it. I had the garage built with 12' ceilings just for the lift, but never thought to have the slab reinforced.
Some good stuff here for a lot of readers. Thanks for everyone's efforts!!

I have casters and moved my lift to it's final resting spot in my last garage before bolting it down there. The lift felt substantially more stable and solid after bolting it to the floor. Because of that, and because I now live in the land of shaking earth, I am bolting it down here as soon as I've settled on the best spot for it.
Here's the thread I posted on bolting it down last time.

The biggest thing with kids and adults is hitting their head if you don't have the car raised up very high. A lift does not give at all when it's smacked with a human skull.
Even worse is being lazy and not removing your ramps. The ramps have sharp edges and you could cause some serious harm if you left them dangling in the air and someone ran into one...
