I've never heard Pypes on a C5.
Slap a cam in her! That wakes up the Corsa sound! Still no Drone!

Just added a middle of the road cam. With my Lt headers and Corsa Touring CB, I love the sound at idle and still quiet at cruise. She really roars at WOT!
Some might like it different but I am very pleased!
Corsa Extremes here. My Z has mild cam, LG long tubes, high-flow cats. Replaced my modified titantium (bypass) exhaust with the Corsa Extremes and I'm very happy. Loud at idle, screams at acceleration, but nice and quiet at cruise with no drone, not even a hint of it. Plus, the 4" tips look beastly compared to the stockers!!

I run the Ti's. Guy I bought them from has the GHL bullets and they sound nice and throaty. The Ti's were fairly quiet but after the long tubes they got louder. The guy I bought the headers from told me after adding a cam I'd appreciate staying with the Ti's. Anything beats stock base exhaust.
I have the Borla Stingers on mine and personally I love the sound. As others have said though GHL is great. I can say if I could not have the Stingers I would go for the GHL's. Good luck.
Our PRT system would be a good fit for what you are looking for. Deep mild note at idle and cruise with a robust bark on hard acceleration. Here is a link, http://www.bbexhaust.com/car/corvette/c5/, to the C5 page on our website which has some photos and sound clips. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any questions.
I vote B&B all day. The PRT is a beautiful system with near-zero drone and screams at WOT. Plus, B&B craftsmanship is of top quality 304 stainless steel

Using a bypass system they are quiet at normal speeds and idle but wide open and loud when you get on it:
Here are my quad tip bullets now. My favorite but definitely louder than you are looking for:
I had the B&B Route 66 myself, smooth and mellow :o
now I have BULLETS .......
But the PRT's are best of both worlds: quiet cruise, veeery nice idle, and creams at WOT.....all with no drone

Ive got American Racing Headers and Midpipe(catted) w/ B&B Route 66...tooo quiet for my taste but figured I had already spent the money so I stuck with the setup and installed electric cutouts
Thanks for the input. I think I will be going with the Corsa exsteam exel back. The wife likes the sound of the coras's on u tube best. I'm not going to argue.I hope that I can put an x pipe on her latter if I want.
stingers will be WAYYYY too loud for you. to me, the stingers are like open headers on a leash.
What I have on my car is pretty much what you want.
I have the Corsa Pace car on mine. it screams at high RPMs, NEVER drones, and at idle it's nice and throaty. if you get on it and accelerate, it's not insanely loud, but people will know your corvette is coming
at 70-80 it's not too bad. I can carry a conversation in my Z06, but I have to speak a little louder. definitely not as quiet as most other cars. lol
I've actually been thinking of getting ti exhaust with some cutouts. but I like the aggressive tone of the corsa, and it's not obnoxious to attract attention (unless you gun it lol)
