I went to 10 dealers in Dallas (March 2004) and said i want 10K off.... 3 said yes.

I went to the 3 dealers that said yes and asked for 11K off.... 2 said yes.

Out of the 2 dealers remaining, one said they would give me 11.5K off and the other said 12K. I decided to jump on it...

My 01 came all the way from Montgomery, Alabama with 3 miles on the odometer. It was switched from a car carrier to flatbed and delivered to my driveway in June of 01. One of my neighbors was on the road, saw the flatbed with my car on it and called another neighbor to let her know it was coming. We all converged on it at about the same time.
At the time, there were no $10,000 discounts, anywhere in the country. The most you could get was $2500 off the MSRP and I bought my C5 from a dealership that advertised in this forum (Capital Chevrolet).

Bought my TR FRC new in May of '99 (build date 30 Mar) off the dealers showroom floor. It had HUD which I didn't think was available on FRC.

It wasn't at first. Mid year change. Only the FRCs built later in the production year were offered with HUD as an option.

Our 2000 Nassau Blue/Light Oak Convertible is the only Corvette we bought new. We got it in April 2000.

When I buy my NEW c7, it will be from Boardwalk Chevrolet in Redwood City Ca or Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg Idaho. Ill have it shipped to Oregon. Our local dealer still has the attitude that $10k OVER sticker is a deal. Maybe that's why they sell only 1 or 2 a year..

Yep, you're right. I should mind my own business. I should have recognized this thread was not intended for my reading.

btw, John(Vega$Vette) just started another thread...its Johns's sister thread to "C5s purchased new">>>>>>"C5s purchased used"...

drove my '04 out of dealer brand spanking new and i was honestly VERY nervous, having never driven a Z before. turned out it was docile as can be.

my car was one of ~6 available in the country at the time, in the torch red/mod red combo, among the last of the c5 production runs in that spec.

Reading and hijacking are two different things.

Let it go already.

I have decided let it go but I didn't need your help. What's the difference in my comment and yours?

My 2004 C5 bought brand new on 1/5/04. Had 31 miles and now has about 9000. Amazing what 7 years will do. Boy has she grown up!
