yank?
Not enough info here. Believe me talk to the guys there. Tell them what you want are what you will end up with after you are done. Then they will put the correct converter in the car for you. They did me on my car....

I have an A4 with 3.42 gears and a Yank SS3600. I take it to the track a lot (250 passes a year) and really like it. Hard to remember what a stock converter was like.
Call Yank and tell them this info
HP (rear wheels)
gear ratio
intentions for car
I am running the ss3200 stall and couldn't be happier with it (A4, 3.42, Yank 3200). The street behavior is astounding, minimal parking lot slip very easy to drive. It is a tight converter and works well on the street and drags
What mods do the think may cause that? Could that possibly be addressed in the trans tune? Shift/downshift point tuning may help.
Cheers
mostly the cam..... and compression ratio I'm told by my tuner.... good tune though.... I have no problem with how it's set up or what it stalls at, hits hard and lots of fun too
well i have been talkin with jeremy @ RPM, they sell PI stalls? been looking at them now. he said i should go with the 2800 vig. im thinkin i what more stall if im going to spend the money, like a 3200? anyone using the PI 2800. getting it all installed feb 12th

Vigilante stalls usually actually stall higher than what they're rated at. I would suspect that the 2800 Vigilante will actually stall at about 3000-3100, or so. I have no idea why they rate them as they do. I would recommend a Yank. They stall where they're rated at and are extremely tight. They are a great piece of machinery, IMHO.

thanks, i was stuck on getting the YANK, but after talking with Jeremy @ RPM, he said they have seen lots of problems (clutch material) with them. i know he sells the PI converters, but im getting a RPM trans installed at the same time. i don't want any....."well the converter you bought was sh*t, and we got to pull it apart again... so im stuck with a PI converter. i think their both good products. just wanting to get my moneys worth,

This is first time that I have heard anything negative about Yank!!!!! I wonder if it's because RPM sells PI's? things to make you go hmmmmm!!
And no you are not stuck with there stall, They just don't want to install someones stall that is not theres, Look up past threads about Yanks and count the negetive remarks! Make sure you do your homework before you buy!
