Got my lip today. It's worth the money just to see how hard they work at packing it for shipment. Very nice piece. This should be fun to mount. Of course I now have a pictorial of how to do it!

I really like it. The front lip will tie in my black center Cray wheels, tinted windows and rear spoiler on my spiral gray car. The rear spoiler was a little tough to mount perfectly. I ended up using 3M double sided tape, lining it up with several "guides" I taped to the car to get in on straight and finished it by using 4 screws through the tail light openings up through the under section into the bottom of the spoiler. After I'm done mounting the lip, I'll take a full car picture, now that I know how to post pictures. No one in my circle of Vettes here in San Diego have this rear spoiler so it makes mine a little different than all the others.

Here is my finished carbon fiber lip. Easy to install. I did mine by myself by masking taping in place then using a driver to drill through the mounting screws through the fiberglass without pre drilling. Way easier. I used s/s screws around the inside to attach to the bumper itself. No double sided tape. I used bumper washers where I could and I used a hand grinder to cut away the material for the center wind deflector. Now the question is, can I actually learn not to hit anything when I park? This completes the outside of my Vette.

Really nice C5. Your lip looks outstanding. I keep dragging mine and actually put a slight crack on one side. Easy to fix and hide. Nice job!

Very nice write up and pics. Thanks!

I'm a little concerned with how far back the spoiler goes back as it seems to cover a lot of the original open air flow box. It seems as though by looking at the pictures, there is only about 1" between the back lip of the splitter and the OEM flex spoiler which is designed to push air up into the intake. Or does the front opening in the splitter supposed to direct the air up instead?

In the end, it looks great!

BTW - you might want to get a set of Fangs.
id rather save the money and spend a few minutes fitting it. it doesnt take long and the money saved is well worth it.

Did you install the lower air dam (the center one?) I don't see why temp's would change, since you have that opening in the front that would allow air in.

the air dam is still on and i think that may be the problem. maybe if i remove all the stock undercarriage parts that might work

I wouldn't think so especially if others are not experiencing higher temps. It would be simple to cut some off if the area from the lip to air dam is close, but I don't know, thats weird.

for those that arent experiencing heat issues did you keep the stock air dam IE) spring loaded center piece on or off?
