Since I plan to race this year and the Z I picked up need brakes I started calling around to get prices on parts. It looks like Napa can get me pads and rotors, front and rear, for around $360. This is the cheaper stuff they sell and I was curious if anyone else has used this? I figured they might not last too long depending on how much I get to race so no point is buying top end stuff to go burn them up right away.
My suggestion for brake rotors are slotted as they will give you the most braking surface and not be prown to cracking.
If you REALLY like the cross drilled look we have a dimpled slotted solution which doesn't crack but looks just like a cross drilled rotor. Also, ALL our rotors are zinc coated to prevent rusting.
If your looking for a performance upgrade I would recommend our Stage 2 Brake Upgrade package which includes.. Motul Brake Fluid, Stainless Steel Lines, Hawk HPS Brake Pads, and the rotor of your choice for only $529. If you just want rotors and pads we can do the whole set for $329.99 delivered to your door... CHEAP THAN NAPA!
I run stock rotors with Carbotech XP-10s in the front and Xp-8s in the rear at the track. For me, rotors are a consumable item just like brake pads. I cracked 3 front rotors at Road Atlanta last December so I just buy the stock ones from whomever has the best price. I will probably update my front brake cooling to either the DRM or Quantum Motorsports kit soon.

Slotted, dimpled, cross drilled, cryogenic, and blessed by the Pope rotors won't last significantly longer on the track than the cheapy NAPA's.
Like McReary said, they're a consumable. I ran the Carbotech 10/8 set up for several years and now I've switched to their 10/10 set up with two piece rotors.
$330 for front and rear rotos and pads? Is that shipped?
