Bought my first Vette from a dealer rather than a one owner personal sale. Carfax indicates that I could be the 4th owner but, maybe not, as some of the transfers were from one state to another which could still be the same owner. The only real problem is not knowing the history very well. I read about all the typical problems and my car has none of them but I don't know if it's because it was well cared for and any problems fixed along the way or I have just been lucky. Either way, I have put a few thousand miles on since the first of the year and all systems are go!
There was a car available identical to the one I bought that was a one owner with just over 2000 miles that would have been sweet to own but it was double what I paid for my car and was just more than I was willing to spend for an 11 year old car. I have finally come to the conclusion that I got a pretty good car for the money and I'm just going to drive it and enjoy the ride.
Congrats,,,great looking FRC!!What kind of miles she got,,and you mentioned a good deal,,mind telling how much?? Love my FRC,,and looks like you got a sweet one for sure!! Enjoy!!
Don't forget to install a Column Lock Bypass .. the C5's #1 shortcoming.
Just another one of those things that at least at first I wasn't sure about. I can turn the steering wheel with the key out of the ignition so I guess it has already been addressed right?

Sounds like that is one less thing you need to worry about.
Nice find. The FRC is the best looking CORVETTE ever!

Im sure 8vette7 will chime in to give some good advice. The CLB is a MUST! Congrats on the new ride!
Nice looking frc. I think it's more the mileage versus the amount of owners. These are mostly secondary toy cars for most people, and because of this people are constantly changing their toys or trading up to newer models. Being that these cars have been around for 14 years now single owners are going to be hard to find, not to mention with the economy many have had to sell for financial reasons. This doesn't mean the car was neglected or not maintained. By the looks of it, it looks relatively stock which is exactly how I would want to start out with. Wouldn't want to deal with someone elses modification nightmare. Good luck with the car and enjoy it, the early frc's are somewhat rare nowadays.
Beautiful car and nice to see one w/BSM delete. Looks like a mod sticking out in the back end. Corsa?
If you like the stock look but don't like WW's, consider 04 Z polished wheels. If you want to add some red inside I got a rear console replacement FS. Perforated red lid & more. Also consider carbon fiber forward console. I got pics from inside of Z I sold on file here.
What Freaken Cardinal rule do you think you broke....??????
Very nice and clean looking car In my NOT so Humble opinion....Honest !
Only mod I would even consider would be to toss the Wagon Wheels
and upgrade to "any" other after 2000 wheels...
Other then that I would not be ashamed of having that car in my garage IF I was not driving it...
BTW...any chevy dealer can check on its mechanical history and repair record IF the work was done by a dealer... UNFORTUNATELY a lot of us would never ever take our car back to the dealer unless it was warranty work...
