I forgot bout that little bit of information. It has been several years since the factory installed K harness stranded me and I installed my CLB!!

Good info, CLB on the way.

There are quite a few catalogs/vendors that sell them at a fairly cheap price. About the only way to check for a CLB is to remove the panels and look!! The factory harness is a relatively big/long unite with a bout a 1" square(more or less) cube. A CLB is pretty short and the resistor is pretty small. Been a few years since I put mine in,,and the mental pictures aren't as clear as they used to be!! Enjoy your ride as well,,it looks good too!! Micheline pilot sport ZP(zero pressure) are a QUIET and more comfortable run flat alternative If you want to keep a little security on the road!! They handle pretty well and are all season too!!
well that makes sense. i've been trying to find some that look like they do but can't. it does dress them up real nice.

I have no sound coming from the column at all so I think I'm good on that front. I actually checked for that when I bought it, but i guess I forgot i did. Mind is starting to go.

Thanks for heads up on the tires.

OP, sorry for boogering up your thread!

Default Nice Looking FRC!

John, the CLB (steering column lock bypass), DRL (daytime running lights) and CAGS (computer aided gear selection) seem to be the most frequent PIAs and they’re also among the most easily fixed.

You might have the original TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) sensors installed on your wheels. You’ll find loads of information pertaining to just about anything C5 related in the archived threads.

There is a lot to be said about a sweet looking stock Fixed Roof Coupe with the original QD4 silver painted aluminum 5-spokes. You’ve scored a very nice looking Vette! Congratulations and enjoy the ride.
