I usually wave at all Vettes. Sometimes they wave sometimes they don't. Not a big deal! C4 guys rarely wave, most C5 guys wave, half of the C6 guys wave. The ones that do wave, I'm guessing have owned other vettes. The others are new to the Vette scene and aren't aware of the wave. Sometimes, there's a glare on the windshield on oncoming cars and you just can't see the wave or they can't see you. My first vette was in 1976. They waved back then too.
i am a new owner and i used to try to wave, but sometimes you just forget. When i drive i am usually just relaxing and dont feel like waving to someone that i dont know.

It's hard. I sometimes I feel like I'm supposed to be on the lookout for other vettes so I don't get in trouble and talked about here on the forum
Well, I wave to every vette "I see". I think sometimes it's just a matter of whoever is driving simply isn't paying attention to other cars. I have to admit to sometimes being so wrapped up in whatever, that I'm only concentrating on driving and not on who is around me.
Whats been bothering me is in the last 2-3 years Ive noticed people got much nastier(NY)
When I used to drive by head on or just pass someone, we exchange looks and say HI, wave. w.e.....Now no matter what, the drivers never turn their head as if they dont know Im next to them even tho they clearly sow what I was driving.
Next time a fellow Vette owner doesn't wave, just don't let it get to you. Waving is not everyone's cup of tea and not everyone will wave back. Would be nice though if GM put something in the new car delivery package about the history of the wave.

Really, so he dosn't wave- who cares. BTW when some one flips me off I wave at them- they get confused and pissed all at the same time. PS my wife yells at me either way
Are you a BABY? Grow up DUDE-I'm getting to the point where I HATE the wave, between the bike guys waving and the vette people waving-I'm getting SICK of waving.
I just happened to see the entire situation as it developed and had time to snap a pic of the offending baby that didn't get a wave...
He has seen this guy 5 or 6 times and probably lives in the same town, it is a bit rude to have this Vette guy see him 5 or 6 time and not wave. I would probably have given him the BIRD as well. I feel if you drive buy some random guy and their is no wave, no big deal, but same town, and 5-6 times seeing the guy, that is rude! JMHO!
I've been driving a Corvette on and off since 1967 and have always received a friendly wave from other Corvette drivers. If you like it, do it. If you don't, well the world is a big place for all kinds of people.
