Good Lord.......If you want to wave...wave, If not who cares. Yes, I'll wave to you if possible.
You have to understand..... to some of these people, this is their first vette (maybe 1st car). They probably don't belong or visit this forum where all of us intellects socialize. So they probably haven't been educated as we have. Have pity on their poor souls. And for those who don't have time, PITA, or don't want to be bothered.....Again Who Cares!!!!!!!
I agree with Mr. Bill.....don't lose any sleep over it it.
At the price you can purchase a C5 these days almost any idiot can buy one. Personally, I always wave out of pride - OPS - the key work being pride to be part of such a great group.
Don't get mad - feel sorry for them and realize that for each of them there are hundreds of C1, C2, C3, C4, C5 and C6 owners who appreciate and will wave.
It makes me sad when another vette owner doesn't wave but I have come to the realization that for the most part it's because they simply aren't paying attention. Wake up my Corvette brethren and savor the camaraderie that owning a vette brings!

I've had a Corvette for a long time. Different cars, Different times. The 'Wave' was common a long time ago, Times were vastly different then, and there was less traffic and less congestion on the roads. People who buy Corvettes are all different, and they all buy a Corvette for different reasons.
But in all things being Fair, the level of traffic and the all the different distractions we have now-a-days, it's hard to just keep your eyes on all that's going on around you as you drive. But there is a large group of 'Owners' who don't know the history of the Corvette and couldn't care less about the brotherhood as much as just owning a Corvette. To many, it's just another automobile. Maybe they are only leasing it? In a few years they'll move on to something else. You can't blame anyone just because they don't know the history !
While crusing on a curvy back road yesterday I met a guy in a chevy pickup. I guess he was watching me coming toward him out of a tight turn and I was "moving-on" pretty good enjoying the road. He was grinning at me as he waved and I lifted a couple of fingers and smiled as we passed. If I see another driver wave, I wave back. If I wave and they don't, no big deal I don't give it a second thought. I'm just happy to be driving my Vette.
I was going to ignore all this but after reading some remarks, it made me think. I wave if someone waves at me whether he's walking, driving, on a motorcycle or a camel. I had a heart attack several years ago and I'm just glad to see the sun come up. My new vette is just icing on the cake of life for every day I live from here on out. There have been some very unfortunate (healthwise) people on here who I'm sure would trade places with all of us wavers or not so they'd have the opportunity just to be out there.
