Has anyone purchased the XcessMotor LED Headlights for your C5s. I love the way they look but they don't have any pictures of it on the car or what its light dispersion is like. It has two rows of like 8 LED lights and replaces the flip up. I think it might be a little lower profile then the replacement projector light setups. Post pics if you got some.
Found 'em on the auction site. Looks like the DEPO housings filled with LED's instead of 2 projectors.
I have DEPO's, but these I don't like so much. I think the LED's really lend themselves to the newer design of cars(ie. 458 Italia, Audi R8, MB's, etc.), where they can be incorporated into the shape of the body.
I wouldn't like these even if they were in the pop-ups. Now, a contoured set of LED's in my current DRL turn signals/parking lights would be very nice.

I have not read one good thing about LED headlights, They just don't have the ability to project the light at all, Unless things have changed, The picture posted, There is no way I could put them on my car...
I believe there are a couple of new high-end luxury cars that are coming out with LED headlights about now. The Audi A8 might be one of them since they seem to be the company doing the most with LED's in other applications.
I think we may have just re-defined the term "Rice"!
The germans have embraced this technology before the Japanese and Cadillac (GM) has been working with it for at least 2 decades though no one has produced a completely LED headlamp system. So why do we have to keep thinking anything that is not bulky, oversized, and lacking any semblance of design principle vs function is Un-american? Would it be any more acceptable if it had a "made in the USA" sticker on the back side of it? Not picking a fight, really, i just wish we could get over this whole nationality thing and accept that all vehicles have lent, borrowed and stole designs and technology from each other for the longest time. The automotive industry is a global effort and the aftermarket world is just as dependent to ensure our hobby continues to grow.

Your right, i haven't heard anything good yet either. That is why I was hoping someone would have light dispersion pics already before I paid the $400 for them. Someone will eventually convert the R8 technology to everything else and I was hoping this was a start. We shall see.
Thanks for the everyones feedback so far, I probably will hold off on this purchase til it develops some more.

I think he was using "Rice" in it's "tasteless mod" usage, not from the ethnic origin of the component itself.

I use the term "rice" just like my friends who own and drive modified Hondas/imports use the term. It's not aimed at a specific nationalilty or group, simply those enthusiasts who tend to like everything neon and over-the-top when it comes to automotive mods, aka "The Fast and The Furious" crowd. They even use the term and are not insulted by it.
I completely modified my exterior lighting to HIDs and LEDs so it's not a fear of new technology, etc. or remaining a "purist".
I would not install these lights because IMO they are FUGLY regardless of performance. However, that's just my opinion regarding a product inquiry posted on a public forum. If I saw these on a C5 in a parking lot, I would not go out of my way to tell the owner that I think they are ugly as that would not be polite. To each his own...
Not that anyone asked me but those are terrible! Not only that but how do adjust them? Are they Hi/Lo's? What kind of warranty on them if 1 LED goes out? I do have LED fogs (made by Rigid Industries) in my truck and love them, very bright. Just my .02
Real LED headlamps are expensive. I installed 1 headlamp and 2 auxiliary lamp on my Harley and it cost me almost $1K for the set. These are as bright as HID. This is the same as mine. example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gQ7t...eature=related
