Default Dyno

Took the ride in for dyno today, Albuquerque Elevation 5352, temp was 70.
Have a 04 Z06, LG Headers, Haltech, and Magna Flow.

Was a little disappointed by the results 370RWHP, and 360TQ.

He said there was much more to be had with a tune, and that the numbers were not too bad.

I'm sure you will see around 380-390rwhp from your tune most 02-04z's will put those down full exhaust CAI and tune, headers alone really only give you aroun 10-15hp Its all in the tune.

Certainly depends on the type of dyno you were on.

why would you be disappointed in this result? You drive a car that advertises 405 hp, so take 15% driveline losses, you're at 345rwhp, add the headers, you have +25hp for your 370rwhp. Halltech and Magnaflow add little to nothing, especially the magnaflow. +25hp for headers is great.

I would use 13% loss, but those are still not bad numbers. SAE should correct the numbers, but every dyno is different.

I guess your are right looking at it through that perspective.

Does weight play into they rwhp numbers, is my z06 lighter therefore it has more rwhp than my GTO.

weight is not a factor in rwhp.

why would you think that it would factor in?

the heavier the car, the more weight on the wheels limiting power to propel the weight

I know elevation plays a huge role at the track...not really sure on the dyno though. I have an 01ZO6 and had LG street headers installed along with vararam (which doesnt help for dyno) and Corsa extreme exhaust. W/o a tune off the bat i picked up 24rwhp. After the tune i gained a total of 42rwhp and 40tq.

Those are corrected numbers mine put up that same hp with lg headers, vararam and stingers I'm in Albuquerque. The uncorrected numbers were 303hp to 305hp right? Being this high sucks. That's why I supercharged mine to pick up some nice power in Albuquerque.

I'm assuming your goat is stock if so slightly less then 300 maybe 290ish. I felt bad after my dyno with my headers and then some cat with a miata told me he put up 90hp then I felt bad for him afterwards.
