You're going to need a pilot's license.

You mentioned that your car will pull 1.2 G's, so is does your ACI front splitter supply front downforce. I have one on my '01, but I was not sure if it did apply any downforce that you would notice.
Again nice job and it sets the car off as it should.
the aci helps..but i can tell i need more splitter. With a wing thia size, you need 4" of splitter. I am in the process of fabbing one up.

For those that asked about removing and adjustment, its all adjustable on height and angle. It goes from 6 degrees to 18 degrees. Up to 800 lbs of downforce at 140 mph.

The roll cage takea away from the everyday use of the car, but um sure it will get one soon.
The " frog eyes" save about 25-30 lbs off the front. Flip up lights belong in the 80s.

Not for me just saying..think the car was engineered for the opposite of having a nice looking wing like that though if memory serves me correctly..but happy motoring or should i say flying..lol

Have you seen the LeMans winning C5R in person? and the aero package used on that? They use a HUGE wing out back and never had any issues with "flying". I think some cannards or more front lip may be useful in balancing out the downforce on this thing, but I doubt there's any concern about it lifting.

He did a great job

Lets put it this way, this wing set up properly with a 4" front splitter, on other C5Zs with stock motors are running faster laps then C6Zs and 150 more HP. It is a functional wing.

Good Job

WAY back when (1984) I owned a 440+6 1970 Superbird. This looks like the modern version of that wing and with the power you've got to back the look and the way the wing attaches, I say job well done!

The wing on the Superbird was cast aluminum (NOT light) and had support struts in the trunk that bolted down to the frame. My frined Greg and I used to get lunch to go and McDonalds and then go outside and we'd both sit on the wing to eat. People would freak cause they all though it was fiberglass and just for looks.

You should know that it happens every time. Now when someone ask for opinions that is different, but when you make it clear that you are not looking for opinions, people should simply respect it and not say anything if they cannot say something good. Like I said earlier, I like the looks with the way your car is setup it fits the image.

I think its cool as heck because its "FUNCTIONAL" and you actually put it to use on the track. What ever makes you faster on the track is cool for sure.

Its the non functional tacky ones that turns my stomach...

It's a public forum. You can expect some dissention when you say things like "no waxers". Just because not everyone races their Corvettes doesn't give those that do, the right to exclude anybody. It's a subtle attempt to split forum members into two classes, with "waxers" taking their rightful place beneath the racers. If you like giant wings, you don't have to justify it by touting it's racing benefits. I personally like spoilers, and other things that personalize my car, and expect many people hate what I like. There's no objectivity regarding aesthetics.
