Dash and Trim Mod Question

When talking with the owner, I mentioned that this is something I still want to get done on my C5 and I told him of the various options we have as C5 owners and the ideas share on CF. He told me that what made his interior so unique was that he had actual cleared carbon fiber over the custom molds. When I asked him how he did that he told me that the custom work he had performed included using "fiber resin" vs. traditional "fiber strands" which makes the molds stronger while also allowing the molds to futher customized, curved and able to support the CF modification.
Although I nodded as though I understood what he was talking about, I really had no clue!
I snapped a couple pictures with my smartphone, however because the show was over and it was dark, they did not come out. Anyone have any insight on this "fiber resin" stuff? I'm sure this guy's interior was pretty pricey by the looks of it, however the CF really popped!
