Default Hood light

Does anybody know where the fuse is for the hood light. Doesn't work; bulb was missing; got new bulb still doesn't work. maybe fuse pulled also? Never worked since I bought the 99 Corvette.

What about your other interior lights? Does your courtesy lights work? According to my 98 GM service manual it refers to micro relays #42 & #43 for interior lights. That would be in the fuse box located in the floor-board on the passenger side.
Make sure you have the right bulb. The new number is #561.

Just a thought but have you traced the wire down the hood. Theres a connector at the base of the hood that is often dirty or disconnected. A quick clean up may fix it.

The main fuse is #2 in the footwell called "Monitored LD"

Many times they get disconnected for car shows or working in engine compartment.

I have an 03 and if you are looking at the car from the front, the plug would be to the right of the passanger headlight.

I've got same problem - bulb's missing still though [which is why the light won't work...] - curious to see how this plays out.

Also - what bulb number is that one?

When you open the hood, look between the hood and the front fascia, it's on the left side. I t may be disconnected. Actually, I think the light is like the cup holder, worthless. I leave mine unplugged and keep the hot end covered .
